Our Services

At Green+, we provide the tools, the training, and the blueprints necessary to shift the community development industry toward a sustainable, equitable future.

Sustainable Development Training

We design and deliver training programs that equip community development organizations with the knowledge and tools to integrate sustainability into housing and economic development initiatives.

The Green+ 2026 Series*: Equipping today's leaders with the knowledge of tomorrow, our flagship virtual training series is designed specifically for Texas community developers, CDCs, and housing advocates.

  • The Focus: Moving beyond traditional affordable housing to "High-Performance Green Building."

  • The Goal: Equipping 15-20 organizations with an understanding of the principles and practices of sustainability.

* Sponsored by the Texas Association of Community Development Corporations (TACDC)

Green Build Asset Development

We support and engage in the development of high-performance, third-party certified green housing and mixed-use projects that reduce energy burden and enhance resilience.

Leading by example, one of Green+’s primary goals is to develop a Demonstration Project that serves as a living laboratory for sustainable development in North Texas.

  • Third-Party Certified: Showcasing developments that meet the highest standards for energy efficiency and environmental health.

  • Scalable Models: Providing a blueprint that other developers can replicate to reduce construction costs while increasing long-term resident wealth.

  • Asset Management: Ensuring these high-performance buildings are well managed to maintain their certifications and enhancing the market position of these assets.

Organizational Consulting

We provide strategic consulting to help organizations shift toward sustainable development models that strengthen both financial performance and community impact.

Shifting a business model toward sustainability requires a roadmap. Green+ provides consulting to help community-based organizations:

  • Integrate high energy efficiency, resident well-being, environmental health, and social equity into their core operations.

  • Develop internal "Green Action Plans."

Policy & Advocacy

We champion policies that support a just transition to a clean economy - ensuring climate, health, and equity considerations are embedded in local decision-making.

The principles of sustainability require a holistic approach to a very complex set of factors in the spheres of economic vitality, social equity, and environmental health. This, in turn, demands a solid foundation of reliable data since major moves in one sphere will affect the other two.

  • Research Focus: Tracking the intersection of energy costs, rental rates, home prices, social vulnerability indices, and Urban Heat Island impacts.

  • Policy Influence: Working with local and state officials to champion incentives for a"just energy transition", high energy efficiency, reductions in environmental pollution, and third-party certified developments in marginalized communities.
